That is a very impressive figure at that boost level on a t28 hybrid. Well done.

I have a piper at the moment and its extreme to say the least but I want to try other things too :) i'll have to compare my graphs to yours if i ever get the engine in a car

spec is as can be seen in the earlier pics, basically forgies, steel rods, lightened + balanced everything, autosprint cam, CNH Diy headwork, cut'n'shut DET tubular manifold with external wastegate and turbo technics T28 hybrid.
engine made 282bhp and 266lb/ft at 15psi boost
have the printout from Dave Walkers Emerald dyno (PPC mag tech guy) somewhere if anyones interested.

Well done getting that figure with what some consider low boost :D :D:)

CNHSS1 01-10-2007 09:58

i just think all the mods are well matched hence the 'low' boost. i think that turning the boost up another 5-8psi wont make much difference as i think the 8v head design starts to become restrictive as S13eater forund out, probably just raise charge temps a fair bit. Great on track though:cool:

How did you get on at the last couple of events? I didn't manage to make it to any of them in the end thanks to work and other boring things!

CNHSS1 01-10-2007 11:37

cars going ace to be honest, main problem now is traction even with the softest List 1B tyres on the market:rolleyes: 5 class records in last 5 events and think ive wrapped up the Super modified class championship as well:cool:
dont really know what i can do to improve things now as more power wont help, and suspension setup is pretty well maxed out for the class so maybe have to look at a different championship or move class. there is talk of handicapping my sort of car (an SS1) further to slow them and im not really interested in that. Will have to wait until mid november to see what new rule changes are voted in:rolleyes:
Just castle combe left this year, so lets hope i can finish on a high

s13eater 01-10-2007 12:00

well done craig,;)

30psi 01-10-2007 12:05

What have you done suspension wise to it craig?

CNHSS1 01-10-2007 12:20

cheers S13Eater :)

Well in general from a standard car. Also be interesting to know what the geometry is too :)
