good idea really,ive found engines with partly blocked strainers before and you can get rid of any crap in the bottom of the sump too

I wouldnt take the sump off if I was you. Your engine is very clean inside anyway, so I wouldn't worry about it.

I think being a high rev drifter your engine would be more likely to throw a rod then have an issue with the crank.

yeah maybe, what do you think i should set my rev limit to when drifting? at the moment i have it around 6k normally....cos thats where it redlines, but on bb turbo's and mk2 silvias the solid redline tends to start at 6,500?

I'd stick to 6 to be honest :)
