Yeah well since then I discovered it can be mapped, and I have the bin file from the ecu so you can see the original map.

Fair enough. If Jez wants an ecu he can email me at [email protected]. Im sure a setup like Adz car would be a good one to base a map on seeing as though hes setups nearly done and he is about to get a t28.

I'll prob be seeing Jez soon enough, so I could give him one. I forgot to give him one when I saw him the other month. If then he felt he could do it, then he would need a car to play with.

I'd be interested to see the bin file Mart.

I have an EPROM reader/writer :)

I'll email it tomorrow.

Have you got the equipment to write a chip then?

PukkaSilvia 18-10-2006 18:14

You would of thought if jez was that interested he would of bought an ecu by now. there always available if a wanted ad goes up. Whats 15 quid to a company that charges 150 quid per chip. But nope He wants it free and delivered.Or he isnt particularly bothered at all... LOL :trout

complete waste of time, you need to get rid of the afm, its very restrictive and not accurate enough, plus you guys with blow off valves, it throws the fueling out,and eveytime you mod something, you will need another chip.

30psi 18-10-2006 21:48

The S13 lads have got very close to 300bhp on the std afm. There is always the Z32 afm option.

s13eater 18-10-2006 21:55

still not as good as an aftermarket system, or the top tuners would not bother changing to them, plus with the 8 valve you need all the help you can get to acheive that sort of power, why feck around, if your gonna do a job do it right, don't skimp.mind you it would probley do for what mods most people have.

30psi 18-10-2006 21:58

The aftermarket ECU route can cost close to £1500 including mapping. Most people cant afford that.
