Thanks for everyone's help, found the problem, apparently it's something to do with the starter motor, luckily I got a spare one from eBay a few months ago so I'll change it over and see what happens.

How did you narrow it down to that. That seems like an odd problem to have as a battery drain fault. Hope the new motor cures your problem :)

I cheated and got an auto electrician to have a look at it for me, he's also going to fit my xmas presi from the mrs, an auto start and turbo timer:o

Thats pretty lucky around this time of year. Auto electricians normally pretty booked up if not on holiday.

I got xmas engine bay bling from my mrs,....:D ....it seems silvia's come first priority at xmas
