If theres no detonation it will be fine. and i wont do it until that is certain. It seems to bounce off the limiter fine in third and fourth on the way to work :p i need to increase my limit to 7400 at some point

You need to careful topping out the car.

The exhaust gas temps rise really high. This will lead it to detonate.

Thats why you fit colder plugs. Standard ones will glow red, causing pre-ignition.

Retarded timing and weak mixture will cause the exhaust gas temps to be high.

I am aware of what causes detonation. cheers for the advise though. :cool:

slightly off subject but i am fitting a charge temp sensor/gauge by my throttle body this weekend. i will be interested to find out what temperature my intake reads.

Well i didnt beat it but i did get nicked last weekend when i visited that ugly w***er 30psi in essex. I got caught drifitng and then stupidly raced at 125mph down the a13 trying to lose the old bill:confused: They soon caught up and 3 points and £60 later i crawled home with my tail between my arse crack:trout bastards :ghey
