thats a fair comment. are you gonna be keeping the numbers and icons etc in the final pre mess scan???

i just thought, we can change the boost gauge to PSI :D

Dr Silvia 25-10-2006 21:09

yeah its gonna have them, its gonna be done so that you can literally just apply the colours you want and have it look factory printed.

i can make it psi, tbh i havent looked at the little side cards as much yet, theyre gonna be the easy part=)

umpkin 25-10-2006 21:59

lol yeah.

adzs12 26-10-2006 02:15

This is great work chaps:)

umpkin 26-10-2006 06:50

i just got one lot of these (10pc)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...7702%26fvi%3D1

they also do a 20pc

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/20PC-12V-Wire-...QQcmdZViewItem

dunno how they will be mind, but for 7 quid i dont mind finding out, and they are 12v, the ones in maplin are 4v ish and £3.34 each

Dr Silvia 26-10-2006 07:21

they look like the choice:)

are you gonna try an mount them in front or behind the clocks?

umpkin 26-10-2006 18:15

they will have to go infront of the clocks, as they show up the white, if i put them behind they wont work on the same way.

im gonna make a small rail along the bottom of the clocks and make them shine up the front. its not gonna be planned, i think i will just fabricate it as i go along, and see where it takes me.

prolly end up with the black dash and a load of led's that dont work..... :trout

Dont be sorry mate, theres plenty on here who will get use from it and its a good gesture to share it with us for free:)

umpkin 31-10-2006 06:51

no response from the dr for a while, hes prolly still scanning at 4800dpi, lol

comon dr hows the scan going, dont be shy :p

hendrix : that is a nice job m8, they look absolutly great. hope in the end mine come out as good.

how easy is it to get the dash out, saves the dr sending cds all over the country.

umpkin 31-10-2006 07:52

swapping the speedo and rev counter is easy in photoshop, just the KPH to MPH that might be a bit tricky

It's easy as kake:) just remove 4 screws then it is just clips:) hehe the dash it selvf sits in two screws and clips:) just try:) it's not hard:)

henrix 31-10-2006 20:09

adzs12 31-10-2006 21:39

Thats good then :)

umpkin 31-10-2006 22:04

that is quite dark, but thats the prob with having back lit, hence the reason the idea is to use UV leds, once they are in and wired, they will be brighter than std most likely.

looks like a real nice job m8, i will be taking mine out tomorrow night if all goes well.

adzs12 31-10-2006 22:13

If the lights are mounted in front though isnt that going to be a little bit blinding? I dont really see what you mean by mounting them in front without it messing with your vision of the road etc

Dr Silvia 31-10-2006 22:17

umpkin mate im sure they will be quite happy behind the screen

eh!!

i know :D thats where mine are going (i assume you mean the LEDs) im gonna put them in the space at the bottom of the dash between the clocks and the clear plastic front, but i will put a small barrier infront so i cant actually see them, only the light from the dash itself.
