Andy 24-05-2006 19:50

Splitter

hey the splitter would go nice with some side skirts,I'm sure the two would compliment each other.:D

s13eater 24-05-2006 20:16

no need to tell me matey;) i know i've had the kit for years now;) tim had my sunny zx skirts,i willneed a splitter later on in the year when i've bin on me hols and poss another high monaco rear wing.i'amdoing my mk2 over the winter.:D

Andy 24-05-2006 21:07

I've spent loads on mine almost finished my engine, then i will convert to manual all at the same time and then get those body kits on if the banker (wife) lets me LOL:)

30psi 24-05-2006 23:38

I think Tim can do what he wants. Its his car.

At the end of the day nearly all the S12's have or will have the SE gear stuck to them so no one is in a position to complain about clones.

Probably the best way to be more unique would be to leave the car as it is.

30psi 25-05-2006 00:01

Mate I aint having a dig, and I aint saying anymore than this post. Just saying you can't moan coz cars are the same when they are the same:rolleyes:

You can't say I aint interested in the s12 when I still have the car, and will be using the engine from it for my next project. Why do I still come on this forum? I don't know to be honest. Maybe its coz I like to help people out with their probs and questions.

For example I didn't sit and work out someones compression estimates for 10 minutes on the s12 section of sxoc coz i hate s12's.

PukkaSilvia 25-05-2006 00:02

I swear you too have some sexual tension going on. Shauns tent is big enough martin but you will have to recieve.Use the pm section or something guys.thanks

This old all s12s look the same topic really doesnt need to come back up. Theres not that many about and to be honest i think it will only push the bigger enthuisiast further to do something different

Can we keep this thread on topic please as it is good news for s12 owners and it could quite easily put people off the thread.

I need a translator please.

What's P&P? is that what you guys use for postage/shipping? or is that some form of tax..or something else?

bigtim 25-05-2006 14:15

I don't know Mr s13eater you should be flattered i wanna be like you:ghey ;)
I want functionality with the front spoiler as you recon it stops the front going light which i dont like,as for the side skirts they are more for show really im thinking so no great rush in putting them on:) and twin back lights are very cool imo so yeh im going to copy you if i had the chance with those:D
Mine will never look like yours dude its never going to happen is it:rolleyes:

Andy 25-05-2006 18:31

Hi
I find it quite funny that theres so much to say about the splitters.

1) They are the genuine SE- moulds
2) They are being made by a professional fibre-glasser
3) Price is as advertised

All i want to know is who would like to buy them, dont forget the catalogue price is higher and that was 5 yrs ago,so please keep it positive (remarks).

Cheers:) :D
Andy

Dr Silvia 25-05-2006 18:38

LOL i know how you feel mate... i got flamed on the previous incarnation of this site for placinga wanted ad for one:rolleyes:

SE splitter where made for people to buy,so obviousley i don't mind, as where the side skirts like mine, they where erebuni replica's, but seeing as erebuni stopped making them,i asked the silvia god to make me a pair as a 1 off, so they can't be reproduced by him by a gentlemans agreement, other people could replicate them, as for the backlight conversion that i did, me and ken finn had the same idea around the same time, but i did it first, but ken did the conversion with a different set of lights, which is good as it ain't a copy, what i was knarked about was at the moment, i have a one off and in chesterfield its the only one to look like this and i don't think there are many left here, as for your comments about copying tim, get a life and get ya own ideas dude, don't lead a sad life, breathing off of other people,as for needing as nose cone for stability at high speeds, do you really think you will reach the speeds that this item is needed and if so you will need to drive it on a private strip, or otherwise you will be breaking the law and as you never and don't intend attending and meets, then whats the point, i must say that adzs is avin my rear light, but he is about 200 miles away and won't be seen up here, anyway, if you have been able to read another verbal dioreaha by me, then all that i can say is, you sad bastards:D and can i add japster, could you check if i've wrote a longer post than you lol;) :D

s13eater 26-05-2006 00:12

oh tim i'll have my fibre glass bonnet soon,so my old bonnet will be surplus to my requirments, so if you want to buy it, i'll jump upand down on it rather than sell it you lol:D all in good fun lads, its my northern sense of humour that not many people can take so b4 you all get on ya high horses, take a chill pill and wind ya necks in;)

Micke 26-05-2006 00:30

Offtopic as hell but...
Dont want to start a argument but when some one copy you its the biggest sign some one really like your work.
And for god's sake if you dont want people to build a car that's like yours then way show it for the public at all?
Sure sucks to build things that some one else copy and they havnt done half the work that you put in to it. But thats LIFE and its a free world. Have happend to me and its going to happen again to other people.

And of course he can drive fast on public roads? We all brake the law now and then and i dont see that its impossible for him to drive fast on public road to try out his car. But i have to agree that it doesnt sound probable that he need the spoiler for down force

Well that's my thoughts and i dont think you should care what i think!
I took my chill pill after i wrote this so please dont care :P

Splitters/spoilers

Hi to all
The thread was who wants to buy Se-gear not a political rambling on cloning stalking etc.
Can the children please go to bed and let the adults talk business:rolleyes: the splitters are for sale you've seen the products, you've seen the prices.

Sooo if i brought Tommy-Hilfiger jeans would they only produce one pair for the fear of cloning i think not, (umm some one needs to get out more)

So if you want to buy then buy.
My car will benefit from these wonderful products:rolleyes:

Cheers Andy

S12OC 26-05-2006 23:15

This thread is in s12 discussion not for sale... You cannot complain about people discussing your products when you start a thread in this section, and since quite a large percentage of s12 owners have this kit or desire it then the 'clone' effect is therefore relevant.

We have also noticed that there are duplicate threads appearing about these kits... these have been merged as they are on the same subject.

Hello..

I wont the one Super Touring Splitter and a Monaco High level Rear Wing !
If you can send it out of UK?

Anyone who know how much it wil cost to send it over to Norway?
Its not a so long way over to Norway, but its over sea!

lol! - I do believe that was longer than any I've posted (possibly bar the righteous Dr.Dave P. flaming a wee while ago)...

In addition to this, the Rant Per Word Ratio was much higher than any of my efforts... :D commendable! ;)

PS - Guess who's only getting 319 bhp at the mo'? - Yep, no wonder yours felt quicker! - I've ordered a (gulp  ) new clutch plate, cover and thrust bearing from Simon, which will be fitted and bedded in ready for Rockingham - (ah f*ck it - what's one more loan eh?...).. :D

Anyone wanna buy my old one cheap, and get it reconditioned/re-surfaced?

On a positive note, those S14 brakes are f*cking awesome mate!!

Also checked with Simon - I've now got a Garrett GT 3071 Roller-bearing turbo - Anyone know anything about this model turbo? - I'll be happy with it if adding the new clutch gets my power back, but just in case, wondered if anyone's got experience of one?

...Did a few drag runs at Rotorstock (complete with slipping clutch), and was getting an exit speed of 115+ mph (Only a few of the really big hitters were getting 120+) - I'd bog down at the start, or alternatively slip like f*ck, but once going I'd almost catch up (and in some cases, overtook) the Skylines, etc.. that I was up against.... MOST annoying, but i'll nip back there in a couple of weekes to get my launches rigght, and to see what a good clutch'll get me! (If my diff don't chew itself to bits first! ) - Anyhoo, those brakes stopped me a lot quicker than I'm used to, and I'm well impressed mate!

PS - My mates told me that the commentator announced that he could see that my car should be getting MUCH quicker times, as he could see by the way that the thing really took off once it was going! - I should have mentioned the worn/slipping clutch on the entry sheet, so he didn't think it was all down to me! :D

PPS -Whoops - Sorry Shaun mate - Think I'll have me crown back with this post eh?...

PPPS - Don't suppose you've got enough bits to make up another of those modified LSD's *just* in case mate?... :D

lol!

Roll on Rockingham! ;-)

s13eater 31-05-2006 16:20

if your diff buggers up den, we need to locate 2x s12 passenger drivshafts, but your drive shafts may fit if its a lsd, 1x s13 driveshaft and s13 diff with pot joints, i've got a spare s12 diff to build it into, so all that lot won't cost a lot.;)

30psi 31-05-2006 16:37

He'd probably be in the same position about the shafts if he had a 300zx clutch type.

Japster - What were the actual times you were getting then?

s13eater 31-05-2006 16:45

oh no, not the search for s12 passenger shafts again:D

30psi 31-05-2006 16:46

Just get one shortened

s13eater 31-05-2006 17:24

just thought if he needed to get it fitted his way, i could do both shafts for him so it was a straight swap, so he's not off the road for long
:)

Cheers guys -

Shaun: You're a good'un! - That's great news mate!!

30psi: , I was only getting 13.8's, as I was only able to transmit 320 bhp, and I kept f*cking up my launch - bogging down, or slipping the clutch like mad :(

Having said that, I was almost always able to catch up with the other car (even the modded Skylines) once my boost kicked in and the car gained momentum, which makes me realise that if I could get the launch, I'd have probably won most of the runs! :D

My final speed was 115 on a couple of runs, but I know for a fact that it'll be much better once I have a good clutch, as I'm obviously also losing acceleration due to it! - Like I say, the big hitters were only crossing at just over 120, and some mad runs ended at 124-125mph, so I reckon I'm looking at another 4-5 mph final speed at least, if not a few more...

Cheers,

Den.

s13eater 31-05-2006 23:53

what ya reckon when its sorted den, 11.8 -12.6's:)

PukkaSilvia 01-06-2006 00:11

Dunno but i am gunna rince him off round rockingham even if it means i end up in the gravel a few times.

My boost hose still hasnt arrived though so im stuck at a very laggy turbo killing 10psi. Oh well :p she will get a beating round the track.
