It all went tits up.........

It had dust in each layer and by the time it got to metalflake it was like sandpaper. i then tried to thicken the flake up to cover up the ruffness and it didnt work and just went either hazzy or runny. It will all need sanding off and re-doing in a place with an extractor fan with dust filters. I gave up at this stage and bolted the lights back in and thrashed the nuts out of it back to claires for a hug at 100+.....

Its disgusting. It should only come out at night:ghey

Oh well better luck next time. shame its not done for modified nationals

it was coming along well. smoothing and primer coat were really good. The black was good when i left it. i came back this morning and it has dust all in it. i gave up from there really. i tried to level it with extra laquer etc and it became so cloudy in the place i was spraying that i couldnt see where i had been and hadnt and ended up getting runs from overlapping too much.Absolutely all of it went wrong. i will have to da sand it all off and hire an extractor fan and get a bigger workspace to do it in....or save up and get someone else to do it once i have re-prepped it.

It couldnt look any worse.

ahhh mate im gutted for you, i dont undersstand whats gone wrong besides the dust or how should i say.

It was looking spot on yesterday and you done everything by the book to the best you could:mad: :furious

OK The plan is to rag it too pieces round the track at rockingham and just have a bit of fun. Then il wait another week for everything to harden then inspect the primary fillerwork and touch that up if its cracked anywhere. Il just 180 da sand the whole lot back until its smooth and start again with a hired extractor fan. :)

I couldnt see beyond my nose without an extractor as the metalflake layer and laquer just turned the booth into a big white cloud.

I apologise in advance for having the worse bodywork at the show. Maybe il park it round the corner by the tents lol
