j tuner thrash

Hi guys, anybody contacted or heard from j tuner to see about a possible s 12 thrash? if not then ill get in touch if you"d like? they have already done an s13 and s 14 one. all they say is they need at least 8 cars i think.

lets show em" what an 80's car can do!

datdrift 17-09-2006 11:31

yeah get in touch with them and see what they say:) i would be up for it, to represent the budget end:D

Dr Silvia 17-09-2006 11:46

we tried arranging a s12 rolling road day with jtuner, but at the time we just didnt get enough interest to guarantee 8 cars:(

there does seems to be a lot of new memebers creeping out of the woodwork now however, so it might be worth another try.

back to the location problem though:rolleyes:

JackieFan 17-09-2006 12:35

I'd be up for that!..... the cars not exactly a shining example tho :o

s13eater 17-09-2006 12:58

are we doing a RR day, or an airfield thrash, ie:bruntingthorpe, i'd be up for either, as i've had my holiday, and can give it hell:D , pukka's is off of the road.

nots13 17-09-2006 13:57

I was gonna go for a bruntingthorpe thrash cos that seems to be the most fun. plus they bring a bbq usually too!
if we can gather up 8 cars ill drop 'em an e-mail and see what they say.
i think our cars should definately be interesting enough especialy that rb 20 beastie! your right on with representing the budget end as my car only cost me 170 quid 30,000 miles ago!:D

s13eater 17-09-2006 14:04

i wish mine only stood me at £170, you could probley add a couple of naughts:rolleyes: ,if only i'd spent it on the fj20 project i'am doing now, i thing the rb conversion one is overseas  .

nots13 17-09-2006 14:56

bugger that would have awsome if that one was here! yes but i bet your car has a lot of power where as mine sounds like it costs 170 quid!
i think quite a few of you have some large power! my turn next when i get some cash and a manual. have you all seen my advert? anyone fancy a nice fairly standard auto or need shot of a manual one? go on you know you want to! do it do it!

s13eater 17-09-2006 15:21

i was hoping to get my cam timed in and bit more fuel and boost and maybe hit 320bhp, :D only got to find 15bhp:D , get hold of a pedal box and gearbox, thats what i'am doing on my mk2.

s13eater 17-09-2006 17:50

i think craig cnhss1 should turn up, after all it is nissan s12 powerd, i think with the power to weight ratio, he would kick our arse.:D ;) i think tomo200 would be up for it, he's a mate of mine, then there's the man who inspired me den aka (japster) he's up for owt s12 related.

nots13 17-09-2006 17:59

what car is it powering? is it reletavely easy doing auto to man? i can operate spannering devices but thats about it. anybody else you think might be up for it. just sent in a quick text to jtuners text thing. see if it got in next month! in the mean time i'll drop em an e-mail. anybody live in the huntingdon/peterborough area?

s13eater 17-09-2006 18:07

craig's got a scimmitar, he does hill climb sprints, there's one at thorsby next weekend, i don't think the conversion is that bad,the main arse is taking the dash out to put the peddal box in, i've took one out ready, then theres fitting the clutch master cylinder, that a piece of p!ss, there maybe a little buggerin about with the gearbox mount but that can't be to hard.

s13eater 17-09-2006 18:41

i could do with it happenin soon, as the blue beastie could be stripped later on this year.:p

TOMO200 17-09-2006 19:04

Im up for this <<<<<<<

s13eater 17-09-2006 19:37

feckin hell tomo, your on, don't eva answer ya fone;) .get that camcorder ready for next weekend:D .

nots13 17-09-2006 20:33

wow that sounds like hard work. would rather just sell mine and buy a manual one. i always prefered the mk1 shape over mine too.

awsome. glad to see someone elso up for it. yeah i trid to send an e-mial just mow but there address is bum so im gonna ring em up tomorrow. see if we can get this going soon as before frost sets in! i got so exited of the thought of ragging my car about i went and ripped out all the back of me car so it goes quicker! sad hey. keep em coming the more poeple that say they're in the more chance of this working.!:D

s13eater 17-09-2006 20:48

naah its not that hard a job, but lets get this s12 thrash going, as there has been so many attemps at it, i even found a RR near me who was only £30 ish a run on a dyno dynamics set up, i think i was the first one to mention it, b4 pukka got one together at austec, i would like to get mine against some others before i take the old 8 valve out and see what she really can do,if not many are interested, then lets just a few of us go to track car solutions at chesterfield, get some read outs and pics ,then post them up for a good read.;)

PukkaSilvia 17-09-2006 22:39

Id be seriously gutted if i missed this but my car just wont be ready anytime this year :(

A tip though to whoever wants to arrange it. Put it up in events and agree on a location with 8 definates before speaking to any magazines. They dont like being messed around.

nots13 18-09-2006 09:12

thanks for the tip pukka. was only going to give em a quick bell just to see if they were interested if we got enough bods together. that rr thing in chesterfield sounds like a good plan too. would be up for that.

s13eater 18-09-2006 09:49

i think most people are down south though, i think everybody where going to race shack which was more central, it was a bit expensive though if i remember, something like £80, this is probly because they have a cafe, games room and you can drive your own car on the RR to do the standing quater and 0-60, to be honest, its a bit childish for me,i'd rather go to a serious outfit and pay a more reasonable price.

nots13 18-09-2006 11:09

I just sent silviagod an e-mail just to see if he might make it. worth a try!:p
