Hi every one

Hi all,

Thought it was only right i introduced my self lol

Im Stu, if you didnt realise:D

Im thinking very strong about buying one of these S12's:D

I have just had a pulsar gtir stolen, and i cant really afford to buy another one at the moment:mad:

I love the old skool cars, as you have proberbly seen, i would of loved to have a ae86, but they are a little pricey.

The S12 looks a nice car when its had a body kit put on:cool:

something like this one im thinking of.
http://www.club-s12.org/forums/index...pe=post&id=105

Do any of you have any sites that sell body kits for the S12 please?

I hope to stick around:cool:

PukkaSilvia 09-02-2007 20:28

Its all custom on s12s. You can grab spoilers now and again from here. Actually if you want anything for the s12 theres pretty much only here to look. Theres not enough s12s or demand anymore for anyone to make anything 'of the shelf' for them apart from uprated springs, shocks, discs and pads

Forget your easy pulsar owning days and start really modifying ;)

Welcome aboard

adzs12 09-02-2007 20:31

Hi mate where are you from?

stu 09-02-2007 20:40

lol

easy pulsar owning???? You cant find a decent kit for the pulsar!!! Not that isnt chav anyway lol

I will be modding the day i buy my S12:D I cant have it standard looking or standard boosting lol It must be 250+bhp within the first month of owning her:D

Im from wolverhampton, westmidlands.

Lol mate ive just spent 2 years getting to 250bhp, its not a case of money either its a case of getting custom parts made up etc and finding the people out there good enough to do your fabrication work etc, takes along time to come across the right mods for big power on the ca18et, if your after big power quickly i suggest you go for a det conversion as there are off the shelf uprated parts available.

PukkaSilvia 09-02-2007 21:18

He has a point. If you after 250bhp at the least it would be far quicker and cheaper to do the 16v engine conversion. 250bhp is possable but it will take more than a month as you will have to spend time sorting out parts and fabricating things. Not to say that you shouldnt go for it. Just dont expect it to be easy and fast unless you have alot time

Ah got you.

i didnt realise the parts were the isue:o

I was thinking of running stock internals, puting a boost control, uprated fuel pump, straight through exhaust, colder plugs, uprated clutch, tubular manifold and maybe a bigger turbo on, and winding the boost up:p

Winding the boost up on a set of rollers that is, so we can monitor the fueling:D

Wouldnt that give me 250+bhp then??

im still in the thinking of a gtir lol

stu 09-02-2007 21:25

What are these baby's running standard?? what psi do the run at?

PukkaSilvia 09-02-2007 21:30

135bhp at 6psi ish

You certainly wont get 250 bhp on the std turbo mate, so the answer is no to that question. If you are going to stick with the Et which is a cool option as there isnt many big powered ets around, you can use my spec list in my thread ( the story so far ) as a reference guide. Give you an idea of what your looking at to acheive 250 bhp:)

stu 09-02-2007 21:40

ok cool, i will read up on it:D

135bhp atandard isnt to great is it lol

what can i turn it upto, without to many mods??

PukkaSilvia 09-02-2007 22:00

turn what upto? the boost or the power. It depends what you class as too many mods really. But i would say an et engine with everything done to it other than custom cam profiles, nitrous is about 350bhp/

S13eaters 8v engine was over 305bhp.

Get the car and go one step at a time. First off get a 2 3/4" or 3" straight through exhaust system for it. That should flow enough for your future power aims

stu 09-02-2007 22:10

i meant what psi could i turn it upto without doing any major mods.

Ie: just putting i/c, zhaust, induction, fuel pump, colder plugs and boost controller on.

On a gtir, you can put all of that on and wind it upto 1.2bar (320bhp) without having to have aditional engine management, ecu etc

Like you say thou, get the car first and then work upto it:D

I will know a lot more about it, when i have it sat inront of me:p

I would of liked an s12, but couldnt find one for the right money and with mot, and close to westmids.

She is very clean for an 18 year old girl:D

I bought her off a zxoc member:cool:

We have started to talk and think about a turbo convertion as she is only a 2.0i.

I will keep you all posted on the progress.

Im picking up an interior tomorrow:D Its out of a Mk2 mondeo, so will need to be modified.

It should look nice when i have finished.

30psi 18-03-2007 01:52

You should have just bought a turbo one to start with to be honest.

Trying to turbo the 2.0 engine will show up major weaknesses in the engine.
