PukkaSilvia 09-03-2007 20:39

It would be a very long drive for you!. I think i will go up there on the friday night and find a b&b.Maybe we could all do that and have a drink the night b4 in a good local i know:)

s13eater 09-03-2007 20:40

is there no where to camp the day before and make a weekend out of it.

duncan 09-03-2007 20:43

sounds good. i would probably be making my way over early sat morning. its a bank holiday weekend anyway so fuck it. may as well

Now that sounds like a plan! Are you talking about the one thats just outside the Circuit on the old way back to the M1, The Steam Coach or something?

There's not much mention of track time cost (or much else for that matter) on the website. Got any ideas how much it is?

s13eater 09-03-2007 21:25

camp at billing the nite b4, its within 8 miles.av some beers and bbq.

JackieFan 09-03-2007 21:35

They might have some of the campsites open track side. I doubt the show will be setup on the day, must have traders staying over the night before.

s13eater 09-03-2007 21:37

could make a good weekend out, especially if the sites are open on site.

JackieFan 09-03-2007 21:50

I'll ring 'em tomorrow and see if it's an option. I'll also try and find out some info on track time :D

s13eater 10-03-2007 17:24

 , it would be good to have another weekend meet, we just don't seem to go to enough events.:)

PukkaSilvia 10-03-2007 19:59

no its not that pub. Its another one in the nearby village. Its well good,so good i cant remember the name as im always pissed when im there. they do good steaks etc too until late.
But i know how to get there ok:)

slimreaper 10-03-2007 20:42

Sounds like a plan to me! don't know if my 12 will be on the road then:( but count me in eitherway:)

s13eater 13-03-2007 17:46

any news on the camping.

PukkaSilvia 10-05-2007 23:50

Anyone still interested? Its about time we all got together. Im going to double check im not working tommorow. Hopefully i will be able to go

JackieFan 11-05-2007 17:01

I'm still up for this. Track time might be thin on the ground though.

duncan 16-05-2007 20:51

unfortunately i won't be there.:( its just too much of a journey for a one day show. i will be at jae for definite:)

PukkaSilvia 17-05-2007 00:08

no worries. I wouldnt expect anyone to drive from Ireland just to go to a 1 day show and shine. At least on a full weekend you get time to relax a little between journeys.

JackieFan 04-06-2007 15:41

Did anyone else go to this?

Slimreaper and I went along, even managed to get three sessions out on track. Ended up blowing his Turbo to manifold gasket though! The show itself wasn't much to write home about but it wasn't bad either. Most of the people there were "normal" as opposed to event's like Trax where it's just a bunch of horny teenage chavs trying to copulate with the stand girls while playing bangin toons from their overweight and underpowered Vauxhall Novas!

All in all a pleasant day out with some very nice machinery to gawp at, plus £20 for 20mins round the National Circuit thrown into the bargain!! I'd go back next year, Have a nose on the SXOC as they had a club stand and there's quite a few comments on there about it, and some photos if you're that bothered.

323ian 14-08-2007 20:22

Dont know if its of any interest to people but my main car was the white Skyline on the auto glym concours stand.

JackieFan 14-08-2007 20:45

don't remember, Pictures?

It came 2nd so was not to bad for what is a track car up against show cars.:)

old-and-rusty 15-08-2007 11:47

Looks like a tasty motor :D .
You`ve obviously put a lot of work into her. I especially like the wheels, they fill the arches out nicely  .
Regards,
Ian.

No wonder you can't afford to spend the cash on the S12, that GT-R is covered in shinny expensive blingage! ;)

Did you get out on track at all while you were there?

323ian 15-08-2007 17:58

No unfortunately not, i had 2 sessions booked but then got approached to do this concours competetion so had to sell them.:(

It does have a bit of bling to it but the car is all built to perform well on the track and does many trackdays. I dont like cars which are built just for show, cars are for driving but its a bonus when they look nice at the same time!

That was the best show i have been to i think, will definitely be going back next year.
