I had an owner of one of these buy an et engine off me earlier in the year, Is it a common swap for you guys? Nice spec. Its more than most et powered s12s have got done to there Engines. Impressive :)

Its a later scimmy than that.

Search for SS1's. They came with the 1.6 CVH or the CA engine

as i remember they weigh around 900kg and have a 0/60 time of 6.6 as standard

hi craig

PukkaSilvia 19-01-2006 22:44

thats impressive. Not keen on the looks at all but performance should be good

CNHSS1 21-01-2006 12:39

no its not one of the old 'princess anne' coffin dodger jobbies (known within scimitar circles as bread vans or hearses), but was styled in a joint effort by Stevie Wonder and Ray Charles. Its cheap (was anyway...) light @ 750kgs ish, 'proper' wheel drive (not:ghey FWD or slightly less :ghey 4WD) and no one knows what it is! That appeals to my sense of humour when skyline, 355, TVR owners look at my times and then feel a bit sick :trout

How much do these go for these days£???:D

30psi 21-01-2006 14:26

I was looking at getting one 18months ago, but they get very good money, so didn't bother trying to find one.

Craig - What have you done to the brakes? I understand these are metro derived aren't they?

s13eater 21-01-2006 16:17

i saw craig race at thoresby park,( where the jap show is held) last summer, it sets of well to say it was in second gear:)

CNHSS1 21-01-2006 19:38

a tidy road car with the ET goes for £2K but untidy ones see £1-£1.5k.

Ive ditched stock brakes and use AP grooved discs and large AP race 4pot ally calipers. Bit of overkill but stopswell now.

Cheers for not mentioning the school boy spin Shaun:D
Got an S14 box with S13 bell housing to go in which should improve the ratios no end and allow me to start in 1st again. Larger rolling radius rear tyres will also help with the gearing.

craig! what are they like for rust on the wings:D

CNHSS1 22-01-2006 11:21

no rust mate, but the panel shut gaps change in the sun! the wings arent fibreglass but some flexible plastic developed by Dunlop, and they grow and shrink in the heat of the sun. Weird eh?
no need for a welder for panel repairs, just tank tape and a tube of araldite....

s13eater 22-01-2006 13:22

i know mate,just pulling your leg.:D

CNHSS1 22-01-2006 20:41

err, sorry, was being bit thick wasnt i? :D
