Fan for my Rad?
 

Hi all, ive fitted a volvo 740 rad and intercooler but have had to remove the standard fan to make room for my rad hose, now obvoiusly i need one or a couple of fans, so what fans should i be looking for and how much should i be looking to pay for them.

i normally get mine from pacet, ur rad i think had a 17" fan on it beforehand, however it will poke half an inch beyond the top and bottom, like the cowling that comes with it;)

a 16" fan should secure nicely to the heater matrix

im using a cosworth twin fan set up from a 91 saffire cost me a £15 and about £10 for relay switch wire etc does the job brilliantly if temp at half way on idle switch on bout 30seconds it down to low temp

Okay cheers just looking at a few now, ive got my eye on two rover 220 fans and a sierra one which is more expensive, but ill c how it goes.

Get a twin fan setup from a primera which you could bodge to fit

a single 12" fan is enough for the s12.

To be honest it doesnt bother me which fan i go for as long as they fit and are cheap.

Using a single 12" would be better i think though just for ease of installation.

how old is it mate ? is it in good nick ? my 14inch fan fecked up, i repaired it with another motor, but i let adzs have it with the intercooler.

hey its about 1 1/2 old but used for a couple of months as i ended up takin the car apart again. its in gd condition :)

what fan will you be using for yours mate ?

for my new alloy rad i have got 2 x 8" fans now coz the 14 is to tall
