JackieFan 07-02-2008 14:01

That's about your lot i'm afraid. Can you get a bankers draft for that amount of money?

kylepiggy 07-02-2008 14:33

will see what i can do i was hoping some 1 nearer to tony would be so kind that i could send them the money via paypal with a £20 tip and the rest they could give tony cash and then he could send me the springs ???

if doctor silvia ends up coming to my house soon, you could get them to make them and send him with the money as they are only 3 miles from me and i had mine done there, i could take him to collect them.;)

Depends on what you're using it for, I think you should find that quite firm but good enough for everyday use. The shocks are what makes the car feel stiff on the road really, Slimreaper has KYB's up front and Monroes on the rear with AVO lowering springs (I forget the spring rates but they are on here somewhere in the search button). His car is about right for an uprated setup that isn't to harsh. The higher rate springs should cancel out a bit more body roll too :)

The -40mm drop will make the rear end look like something has collapsed but that's perfectly normal for an S12 ;) and there are ways of reducing the neggy camber effect.

just got a message back from cannuck motorsport they said that the springs will not fit as i have a solid rear axle even though the auctions states

Also fits models with solid rear axle, after spring perch adjustment.

Dr Silvia 09-02-2008 11:45

you dont have a solid rear axle though, its independant;)

paulsilv 09-02-2008 20:29

Took me months to get my 350lb -40mm rear springs from S Yorks Spring Co.

Vally Springs much better option.

Take the KYB's Back get a refund (Give them some Bullshit story) and get them from Allan Kay Components in Doncaster 01302 369515

Would save you the price of at least 1 set of springs.

as the Dr states if you have a uk spec s12, you have IRS not a solid axle.

blitz 11-02-2008 13:14

lol...OK, jack up your car and take a look! S12 independent suspensions are the same no matter from where. the only solid rear axle is 1984 CA20E silvia XE. or what ever the lowest silvia trim in 1984. true for US and canada model, not sure about other country.

JackieFan 11-02-2008 13:22

We didn't get the Live axle cars in the UK
