Towbar?
 

Anybody have, seen or know of a Towbar on an s12 as I am after one if it is possiable? Won't be to tow anything silly like a caravan just something that i can pop on n off when i wanna take the boat out?

they did do one for it, i've sold 2, it has a bracket that fits behind the rear bumper that supports the front of the tow bar, then the towbar its self is box section with a diff mounted bracket, i have the bracket that mounts behind the bumper,thats incase you have to get one made up.

i dont have the bracket that mounts behind the bumper but i have a main towbar unit including plug:)

lol, there you go a complete towbar set up between us :D ;) .

yea i scraped the black mk1 i had, when i was stripping bits off it i removed the towbar and when i looked at the bracket i couldn't be arsed trying to get the bumper off :rolleyes:

I have the whole kit . . . still onthe car, will most likely be taking it off when I get round to it. :rolleyes:

Ok well seeing as i have the choice of 2 & am in no particular rush... who is lives closer as towbars are heavy things, & any idea on prices (if it be brackets & towbar or the complete towbar) thanks guys?

Doh, whats the chances of a Bluebird Towbar working (if they made a rear drvie Bluebird that is?)

i made one for my bluebird that the same principle would work for the s12.

i welded up some angle iron thats bolted through the chassis rails into the boot and braced the rails so they wouldn't crush when tightening the bolts down :)
