Your welcome. and NO, I don't wanna buy it. :)
Wanna see what mine can do first

You did a nice job there badboy. You got a good 60ft time there, which as you know is a very difficult job to get quick in the S12.

I spoke to you a few years ago when I was in my red one at a RWYB day.

Do you ever go to any of the top fuel events?

nothing wrong with the s12 for fast times, as theres one done a 9.1 ;)

30psi 28-05-2008 20:01

The camber just goes silly with the trailing arms though.

What is Ben running on his rear end? I remember it still looked like IRS on the back with that magazine article from years back, has he upgraded to a solid axle?

no he's going for 1000bhp or so in a rail now, i agree something needs doing with that rear end.

not realy tend to stick with the road cars, jap show, retro cars that sort of thing, dont get me wrong i do like to watch top fuel and funny cars, maybe one day i,ll get my arse up there for a top fuel weekend, glad i didnt go last weekend though bet it was a washout.
yer i seem to be getting some grip off the line these days, so i,ll probably break some halfshafts soon, are you going to the jap show?

PukkaSilvia 28-05-2008 22:11

I don't go to what I call the slow shows ;) I only seem to make Santa Pod twice a year really, so just go there for the damn fast stuff.

I went on Saturday it was fine, and I suspect most of Sunday was ok. I have some pics I could stick up.

Quickest time there was 4.89 @ 292mph

s13eater 28-05-2008 22:47

i wonder why we are only hitting those speeds when they are hitting the 4.5's and 330mph in the us and thats a woman.

30psi 28-05-2008 22:49

Quickest time I've seen is 4.7 @ 330mph. I have a pic somewhere of the time.

The yanks spend alot more money on the drag then us europeans.

Women are ok at drag. They're lighter remember. And top fuel is only one single speed. It can't go wrong

s13eater 28-05-2008 22:52

damn you 30psi, loads of typing and your box is full lol.

30psi 28-05-2008 22:53

Leave my box alone

she was in funney cars and beat her dad, she's a right fit bitch, can't thinks of her name.

30psi 28-05-2008 23:00

There's quite a lot of girls getting in to it now it seems, both in the UK and the US and for a while in the street eliminator series up to methanol.

To pull a 4 second time is ridiculous.

Here's Andy Clark from Saturday in qualifying:

then 0.5 second later passes the finish line at:

s13eater 28-05-2008 23:00

is her name ashley force.

i think it would take me less than 5 seconds as well.
i think she drives funny cars.

30psi 28-05-2008 23:08

She's a filth

blimey dont you guys get enough at home, lol :1la

zxocmars 28-05-2008 23:19

hopefully I'll have my S12 ready for Jap Show, but I'm expecting high 14's

Any less than that and I'll be happy.

But I don't have NOS or any of that nonsense. Just a normal S12, with a few little tweaks, courtesy of the (no more I believe) Silvia engineering:)

30psi 28-05-2008 23:22

I think the best I managed was a 14.6 or 14.7 so good luck. It's a lot harder than it seems.

zxocmars 28-05-2008 23:25

So that's the high 14's sorted then :)

cool, b good to see another s12 there, are you just there on the sunday?

zxocmars 28-05-2008 23:26

I plan to do a few runs on low boost and see how it goes, then up the boost and see what happens

Hopefully, I won't blow it, as I will still need to get home. :)

Hopefully be there for the weekend, but may not even make Japshow, depends on finance and other issues. :(

Japshow finale for sure :)

I pretty much aim to get there as soon as the bitch has MOT/Tax/insurance

Not entirely sure to be honest, as most of the mods were done before I got it

But it has FMC, now has full stainless 2.5" zorst straight through, electronic variable boost, (which scared the Bejeesus out of em the first time I hit the switch _ wheelspin on a motorway entry in 3rd does that :( )

Allegedly it has upwards of 225BHP on high boost. But I will need to get it rollered to prove that, of course

30psi 28-05-2008 23:32

On a T2 turbo?

zxocmars 28-05-2008 23:40

as far as in know the tubby has been upgraded, although to what I don't know.

The engine was built with forged internals by Silvia Engineering, when they were still going, and fitted by Mark Raynor (don't know whether you know him or not)

But as I say, all this is advised to me by the previous owner, how much is true I don't know, as it has never hit a track since I've had it due to MOT prep work, and so many other cars. The only time I've actually driven it was the day that I bought it, whcih also happened to be the day the MOT expired.

I guess only time will tell. Perhaps you would like to take a look at it and give me your opinion sometime????

zxocmars 28-05-2008 23:46

31st August and 20th Sept are my next expected Pod turnout days

not sure what's on then, or if it's just RWB, but hopefully will be on track then.

30psi 28-05-2008 23:47

Mark Raynor was an old member of the NTOC. He's still probably about to ask him. It could have anything on it.

He's still a member of ZXOC and Zclub, and he is local to me, and, as a bonus, that's who I bought it from. :)

I'll ask him next time I see him
