Wanna see what mine can do first |
You did a nice job there badboy. You got a good 60ft time there, which as you know is a very difficult job to get quick in the S12.
I spoke to you a few years ago when I was in my red one at a RWYB day. Do you ever go to any of the top fuel events? |

The camber just goes silly with the trailing arms though.
What is Ben running on his rear end? I remember it still looked like IRS on the back with that magazine article from years back, has he upgraded to a solid axle? |

I went on Saturday it was fine, and I suspect most of Sunday was ok. I have some pics I could stick up. Quickest time there was 4.89 @ 292mph |
i wonder why we are only hitting those speeds when they are hitting the 4.5's and 330mph in the us and thats a woman.
|
Quickest time I've seen is 4.7 @ 330mph. I have a pic somewhere of the time.
The yanks spend alot more money on the drag then us europeans. Women are ok at drag. They're lighter remember. And top fuel is only one single speed. It can't go wrong |
damn you 30psi, loads of typing and your box is full lol.

Leave my box alone

There's quite a lot of girls getting in to it now it seems, both in the UK and the US and for a while in the street eliminator series up to methanol.
To pull a 4 second time is ridiculous. Here's Andy Clark from Saturday in qualifying: http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3226/...9cfd739df2.jpg then 0.5 second later passes the finish line at: http://farm3.static.flickr.com/2236/...e2a7ec4b0b.jpg |
is her name ashley force.
http://www.ashleyforcepictures.com/w.../photos/af.jpg i think it would take me less than 5 seconds as well. i think she drives funny cars. |
She's a filth

hopefully I'll have my S12 ready for Jap Show, but I'm expecting high 14's
Any less than that and I'll be happy. But I don't have NOS or any of that nonsense. Just a normal S12, with a few little tweaks, courtesy of the (no more I believe) Silvia engineering:) |
I think the best I managed was a 14.6 or 14.7 so good luck. It's a lot harder than it seems.
|
So that's the high 14's sorted then :)

I plan to do a few runs on low boost and see how it goes, then up the boost and see what happens
Hopefully, I won't blow it, as I will still need to get home. :) |

But it has FMC, now has full stainless 2.5" zorst straight through, electronic variable boost, (which scared the Bejeesus out of em the first time I hit the switch _ wheelspin on a motorway entry in 3rd does that :( ) Allegedly it has upwards of 225BHP on high boost. But I will need to get it rollered to prove that, of course |
On a T2 turbo?
|
as far as in know the tubby has been upgraded, although to what I don't know.
The engine was built with forged internals by Silvia Engineering, when they were still going, and fitted by Mark Raynor (don't know whether you know him or not) But as I say, all this is advised to me by the previous owner, how much is true I don't know, as it has never hit a track since I've had it due to MOT prep work, and so many other cars. The only time I've actually driven it was the day that I bought it, whcih also happened to be the day the MOT expired. I guess only time will tell. Perhaps you would like to take a look at it and give me your opinion sometime???? |
31st August and 20th Sept are my next expected Pod turnout days
not sure what's on then, or if it's just RWB, but hopefully will be on track then. |
Mark Raynor was an old member of the NTOC. He's still probably about to ask him. It could have anything on it.
