Advice needed

Hi guys need some advice, my s12 silvia 1.8 turbo 1986 currently is not running will fire for a few secs then just die only if maf is discconnected connect maf and nothing, have checked for boost leaks orange rubber had split and has been replaced, timming was out but have re-alligned with the marks on the belt to the crank and cam all ok now, sparks, fuels, so checked ecu fault codes showing maf/airflow meter. s13eater has got a spare maf and fuel reg for me. Does any one else have any tips, been through and checked all connections etc whilst engine runs for few seconds its runs great
