Scotland S12 specialist?

My S12 is broken down, only firing on one cylinder... I need help from somebody who knows their stuff in Scotland, can anyone help?

Cheers

Fairly simple motor by modern standards. Any decent mechanic with a slant for the old school should be able to sort it.

londonsilvia 19-05-2010 23:08

i cant find that 'slant'!

How do you know its only running on one cylinder ? I would be amazed it would fire up with just one!

Edinburgh is missions, im in the dead centre of Scotland...

im no mechanic, so i dont know if its running on one cylinder... it doesnt for long if thats any help... the weird thing is that when i push down on the accelerator i hear loads of clicks from what i reckon are the spark plugs, but there is only 1 firing.

Could you post a video on youtube or something? Someone on here might be able to give you a better idea where to look if they can hear it running?

londonsilvia 20-05-2010 15:00

i will this evening... cheers

northerner 20-05-2010 17:34

if its clicking its either the Leads have popped off the plugs or could be the same for the injector connectors

To be fair any decent mechanic should be able to resolve this; supplying a service manual often helps for reference purposes as its only a wizened mechanic/weirdo like us that sees these:D
