my insurance........

... is gradually getting realistic!!!!!

2 years ago adrian flux quoted me £600 the same as i paid the year before, i got performance direct to underquote them, and then adrian flux dropped to £464, this year they quoted 487, again using performance direct i got them to lower the quote to £378, £222 lower than 2 years ago!!!! why cant they just give you a good quote straight off, save me running about.

gripo 04-04-2006 16:03

yep i did the same with mine. Adrian flux quoted me 250 then i phoned them back and said the AA had quoted me less than 200, Adrian Flux then quoted me 160! ding dang do! (thats for my mighty fast 1.2 corsa ls!!!!)

wacomuk 04-04-2006 18:53

HIC is best for me ! £358

PukkaSilvia 04-04-2006 21:10

its not really fair and quite cheeky. :furious

ianv72 04-04-2006 21:19

i was quoted £328 with no no claims bonus fully comp with AA online i am 33 though

umpkin 04-04-2006 22:08

i am 28 with 9 years no claims, no points, no convictions.

mods on file are,

Exhaust
Air filter
lowered
front splitter
boot spoiler
alloy wheels

cover is

£378 TPFT with protected no claims, legal cover, and drive any car insurance (TP only)

im fairly happy with that, although i prolly could have got it cheaper, i thought £100 off my quote was to good to push my luck.

Hows that work then?

sideways danny 06-04-2006 00:08

25yr old female, classic policy 5k miles a year

adzs12 06-04-2006 13:30

Would have been easier to say that in the first place:rolleyes:

PukkaSilvia 06-04-2006 20:53

Thats extremely cheap. How many no claims bonus is that with?

sideways danny 06-04-2006 21:53

6 years I think, could be 5. women get silly cheap insurance, it's not fair

PukkaSilvia 06-04-2006 22:09

That is really cheap. My other half at 22 with 2 or 3 year no claims got insurance quote of £350ish and that was her first quote

My best quote is £780 tpft :(

adzs12 06-04-2006 23:13

Limited mileage insurance would be that cheap for most people with a few years no claims.

Womens insurance shoould be through the roof, i seen a woman doing her make up on the motorway with no hands on the steering wheel:eek: So i beeped her and gave her the :1la

sideways danny 07-04-2006 17:50

it's not a limited milage policy, she just doesn't do many miles as she lives a 2 minute walk from work

adzs12 07-04-2006 19:14

Classic policy then, its still as cheap.

She must state her annual mileage as does everyone.

PukkaSilvia 07-04-2006 23:41

i've never tried a quote via classic policy, what company is that with Danny?

umpkin 08-04-2006 11:24

my £387 is on a 3000 miles limit, as i dont use the car for work, the miles are just not needed. i shall get it down more next year :trout
