s12 fibreglass wings

seeing as we all seem to struggle findingfront wings, ain't it about time we all clubbed in and got them proffesionaly made up out of fibreglass.:)

rpettafor 19-04-2006 15:20

that would be useful as i need at least 1 new one!

s13eater 19-04-2006 15:25

i think at some point we will find it very hard to get wings and for those of us who are thinking of keeping the s12's for a long time it would be a good investment, the more pairs that are made would make them cheaper.

rpettafor 19-04-2006 15:32

they def would be an investment, i'd have to buy a few sets, as im quite prone to break the front of cars!!:wack

PukkaSilvia 19-04-2006 19:12

Over winter i made a whole car shell for a marcos 1800gt racecar in two piece and then joined them over the chassis.
i can make them but i dont have the time at the moment as im flat out at work. Im doing the fibreglass se nissan bonnets from Dr Silvias bonnet that he bought especially to mould from next. Then there will be full one piece flip fronts after that

Il make some wings after that but i wont be making them for the mk1 and mk2, i would only make the one mould. Which one would be best.

northerner 19-04-2006 19:47

Wasn't Silviagod making an attempt at wings ?

umpkin 19-04-2006 20:38

s13eater 19-04-2006 20:44

umpkin 20-04-2006 15:45

but mk1 wings look so cool on a mk2, you would be the envy of all other mk2 drivers.

:D

s13eater 20-04-2006 16:25

s13eater 20-04-2006 17:00

i've got an mk1 and 2 stood side by side and can't notice owt.but i'am prepairing the mk2 for next year.

turbomike 20-04-2006 17:10

mk2 have holes for the bigger bumpstrips to mount on,aint much else different

umpkin 20-04-2006 20:14

i was just about to say that when i put my mk2 bumper and strips on, i had to drill holes, so best to make the mk1 ones, and the mk2 guys will have to drill holes for the bump strips.

turbomike beat me to it. ;)

PukkaSilvia 20-04-2006 21:58

So why didnt Silviagod ever make any? I cant see them being hard to make at all. The mould is the hardest part but even that would be straight forward

rpettafor 31-05-2006 09:03

is anything happening with these? i'm really interested in a pair if anyones got the time to make them

s13eater 31-05-2006 11:16

what about asking andy, the guy who's getting the SE bodykits made up, then we need a pair of good wings;)

FLEXXX 31-05-2006 14:01

it will be a good idea to have drift style wings made with vent and slightly wide arched instead of standered style wings you know the ones you can get for s13 etc from chargespeed and other suppliers

Dazmans12 31-05-2006 18:48

Hi
I am definately up for a drivers side wing, may go for a pair dep on price. i have just taken on another S12, 86 preface lift(mk 1) The only thing wrong with this body work wise is the drivers front wing,

So thats Mk 1 wing/s please for me.
