Just finnished my dream and it almost got me
 

Well I've done a det swap on my s12 daily in a week. I rented a car an set about with my dad and a best mate det swapping my car in a week with a twist. I do overtime till 8 pm so after that was the spanner time long story short I did it.
I loved it, the car was great performance great,speed great,noise great. Although on my way to work on Tuesday morning after having the dream for less than a full 3 days. At 6 am at a speed of 35mph in a 60 I hit a patch of black ice went into two trees and wrote the car off. I have spent the last week in intensive care and would like to say every one at the nhs you did great and I was well looked after.
I'm gutted the car has gone but so pleased I still have my wife and the air I breathe.

Holy crap I'm just glad to know you're ok. It happens mate, a car is a car and can be replaced, as long as you're in one piece at the end that's all that counts.

Yeh thanks guys you are right it's all about life and family cars come and go but thanks to everyone that help me get the car to where it was.

I'm so happy to be alive but I can't help keep thinking about the fact I no longer own a s12 or have a freshly ca18det swapped s12. But don't get me wrong I'm blessed I'm alive but I miss my car.

Damn bro glad to see your ok shame about the car but as others have said cars come and go you can always find another car. Didn't realize I would have to deal with black ice when I come out there.

Glad your ok fella, buy back the wreckage pull the engine and drop into another s12 :-)

Yeh I'm on it guys, unfortunately the car is a complete wreck I will post a pic if I can. I suffered head trauma a shard of glass tried to get in my brain the sneaky little bugger, so I have blood on the brain at the mo and am not aloud to do anything at all. From what I have seen of her I will need to cut the passenger side wing off and the bonnet to get the engine out but the engine should be salvageable. Of course I can't do any of this for months really till my heads better.
