30psi 12-05-2006 14:12

You'd easily be able to fit it mate.

If not give the kids a fiver to do it:D

s13eater 12-05-2006 19:24

Japster 12-05-2006 22:21

*IMPORTANT note guys!

Due to a) crap weather, and b) Shaun's car not being ready, and c) my brakes not being here yet... :(

...we're gonna re-schedule my little Sheffield excursion next Saturday/Sunday instead (Prob Saturday though!)... :o

Sorry about the f*cking around, but it makes more sense given the distance, than coming up 2 weeks on the trot, with not much to do this week due to the weather! (Not much fun/point trying to plant 500+ horses in the wet, as I'm sure you'll all agree!) :D

If you're still up for it, it's looking like it'll be next Saturday!

Cheers all,

Den.

s13eater 12-05-2006 22:35

Cheers Pukka ... :D

Was a good day! - Special thanks go to RobSX too, who drove about 100 miles (and through loadsa traffic) to drop me some old brake pads off to use as spacers! (and who's S14 looks like it'll be the business when it's sprayed up! - Nice set o' 19's on it too!) - Cheers Rob!

As for the brake conversion? - The new 4-pot brakes feel great! - I can definitely feel the difference, and my car now skids to a halt when I press 'em too hard, as opposed to gradually slooooooooowwwwiiinnnnggg down.... :D

(S13Eater also fixed my wipers (bitch of a job!), a water leak I'd just got(eek!), and sorted me some fuses out, so top man!

Also cheers to Stella and Tash for keeping us in coffee, chips, and for cleaning me new calipers!

Cheers for putting the pics up Tim - I've taken some more, and a small vid, but don't have any webspace to host it on - Anyone want me to mail them the pics and vid (It's not a racing one :( - just a pan of the cars!), so they can possibly host 'em?..

(Sounds like a bloody acceptance speech, but seriously, thanks to all who turned up and helped get my nail fixed up yesterday!)

Shaun mate - On a final note - I have to say, in all honesty, that your beast is F*CKING quick! - I really didn't expect it to just leap forward so quickly, with such a fantastic set of noises (damn I miss not having my external wastegate and BOV :D ) - and it just kept on pulling - that's one scarily quick car mate!... (Also seems to hold the road WAY better than mine - I'll have to order those poly bushes pronto to replace my worn ones, methinks...)

We did nip out, but my car was sliding it's a*se all over the road due to the rain (We nipped out to try having a blast, but the road's weren't 100% dry yet, and then it started p*ssing down again.... Dammit... :(

All good matey! - Water's fine so far, the wipers are still working, but went to drive her today for a quick blast, and of course....

....it f*cking p*ssed down!

Gotta check my clutch before these events, but I was wrong on price - Was £350 inclusive (cover, thrust bearing, and clutch plate) - Can't quite afford it yet, methinks - Will have to think of bits to sell! - Might get my existing unit recon'd and sell it to offset some of the cost...

ah well.... - If that's the worst of my problems (thanks to your help mate :D ), then it can't be bad!

By the way Shaun? - I'll try to sort out more RAM for yer, but other than that message on startup, is the PC working better than before mate? (I'm kind of scared to ask the question, in all honesty!) ;)

Heh heh - too right - The only person who heard how they sounded was the good captain... - I couldn't hear just how good it must have sounded - would have been nice to take a listen from the outside of our cars for a change of perception.... :D

s13eater 23-05-2006 23:32

Phew! - Good stuff matey - I can breathe easier now... :D

Lookin' forward to it mate!...

PS - Anyone know anywhere that they TRUST to fit a £350 clutch cheaply (and properly!) if I find it has indeed got to the point where I need the bloody thing?... :(

Cheers,

Den.
