Headunits
Can anyone recommend a dogs doobry MP3 headunit?
I've got a Kenwood one at the moment but it's playing up. Want to get a REALLY good one next time. Any suggestions? Also what make of amp is good these days? R. |
If moneys no object then i would always suggest rockford fosgate if not then alpine is always a good and safe bet:)
Id suggest the above for headunits as for amps id go for punch as ive only ever read good things about them:cool: If all else fails theres always the old reliable and top value for money JBL, you can pick up there 12" subs that are a 1000watts for about ?30:eek: |
Well im happy with my jvc exad touchscreen unit. It does everything i need to including mp3's. Jvc are pretty crap on there low end units compared to Alpine equivelants but there top end stuff is damn good imo
Are you after one with a built in hard drive though or one to play mp3 cd's? |
Most head units will play mp3s nowadays even the low budget end of the market.
I payed a ?110 for my kenwood kdc-w4531 after a ?20 discount for my van and that plays mp3s etc so shop around people. |
I'm thinking of getting a Blaupunkt Woodstock DAB54 like this one
http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/woodstock_dab54.asp As you can see it plays mp3 but also has a DAB tuner as well as FM/AM. |

MP3 HU's have been around for a few years now and are getting quicker load up times. Alpine are 1 of the leading brands out at the moment for MP3's but the new Vieta will be coming out this month which has it all. (Pioneer internals) Vieta have been in the game for over 30 years! so they aint crap. This unit has Blue Tooth (upto 7 phones) MP3,CD,CDR,CDRW and a fronf loading USB port so that you can play your music from a Usb stick and record onto it. This unit will be around the ?250 mark

have you got a link with the full specs?
|
|
Cheers:)
Nice from what i can see; but they haven't put their full specs up anywhere on their site:( Does their stuff sound as good as it looks? |
Vieta's Head Units are all made in the same factory as Pioneer using the same parts and technology. There for the same quality as Pioneer, but Im sure You'll have a Vieta dealer near you. I will contact them on Monday and find out for you who is your nearest dealer.

Tasty. Im tempted to sell my current headunit for one of these. could you not become a dealer? or is there not the call for them? Anyone want my headunit. tis this one... Cost me 300+ or something, hardly used as he car has been off the road while ive been projecting it. still got the box etc. I love this headunit but i fancy something a little more subtle like the above as i dont like attention lol http://www.jvcmobile.co.uk/images/pr...lhx501_lrg.jpg http://www.jvcmobile.co.uk/prod_deta...0&sub_cat_id=1 |
I am currently going for UK authorised dealer of Vieta. They are very pickey with who they use. But I'll keep you updated.
As for the JVC. Thats 1 hell of a good unit and being JVC very reliable. |
