what should i do
leave it alone :D
a set of wheels, lowering springs, engine mods and zorst, keep it as a sleeper;) .
should i modify this beast mildly ie just the standerd issue stuff like
I/C,airfilter ,exhaust, and try and keep it as standered as possible a conquest model for the s12oc. or should i modify as above and also bodykit the car with a full paint job as i am confused now as the car is in great condition what do i do opinions please |
i was thinking on the lines of a sleeper with a silent zorst instead of a loud one keep it low key like a ninja slient and deadly lol

Its a hard choice. As a club we dont really have any cars for concours competitions so that would be nice.
But at the same time in my opinion the s12 does need at least a few tweaks to make it special. I would say maybe.... lower the tyre profile to 205/50/15 tyres lower it 40mm 2 1/2 inch bore exhaust system with a stainless backbox with 3" tailpipe 12psi and a tidy intercooler setup. I wouldnt go for a bodykit or respray at all, maybe just a few touchups on age marks etc. There are not many tidy original looking examples. You have yourself a real beauty there. Stay with the std rear spoiler, maybe go for a fibreglass copy of it if you cant get hold of an unperished one.I intend on getting an fj20 s12 for concours myself once one turns up This is great news that you have another s12 Flexxx. Glad to have ya back |
i will be definately staying with the std spoiler but will the fbg version as soon as i sort this headlight switch problem out i will be aiming for a realiable 220-250bhp at the wheel set up once i have got the car motd and taxed as know i cant wait to be in the driving seat of this beast

Congrats, Nice car mate!:)
I could see you had been deliberating over this for a while.:) In my opinion, being such a nice example, you should keep all mods pretty stealth, nothing too garish.:) Nothing worng with a bit of extra power though. |

thats the stuff i was tinking alon the same lines everything out of sight untill you need it just need to sort this headlight stalk out and get the car T&T and roll out the parts catalouge luckly ive still got some bits which didnt sell like kyb shocks, grooved discs front and rear all brand new and simota racing air filter
keep it as it is dont muck about with it and just clean and polish it as silvias in this condition are really rare.does it have full history and mot's to back up mileage?
yes it does i should have them soon as the previous owner has them in the attic as this car belongs to his sister who has the rest of the docs it has not been driven since 99 and she had bought the car in 93 as a second car
excellent, should be worth a tidy packet then.personally i would keep it standard but can also understand you wanting to do something with it as its like a blank piece of canvas to a painter.if you wanted to sell it how much would you sell her for as a matter of interest?.is it an auto or manual?
its a manual and i dont think i would sell but if i was i would take no less than £2500 but in saying that i have had a number of jap cars like corolla gti, honda civic vti,mr2 mk1,celica gt4 st185 and 2 silvias this is my third and i must say i prefer the s12 but i really would love an evo or a skyline gtr but thats for when i have loadsa money not yet
but i must say i have never bought the same car twice apart from the silvia it is the best car i have driven in along time and i have driven alot i also raced a skyline gts at santa pod and was only a second slower not bad for a car with half ss zorst and a airfilter lol |
