HI All,

We started to strip down the Silvia and there is rot in all the usual places....I have uploaded a couple of pics....More to follow...The welding has started.

It definatly looks like the rust is due to be treated,Wheres all the rust in the footwell come from.

Thats the worst I've Ever seen. There must have been a leak from the Windscreen or the drain in the roof going into the floor pan !

Hi Guys,

I just got back from a holiday in France and got John to do a bit more welding on the silvia

(you can see him crawling through the hole in the floor!)

The Welding continues
 
Hi Guys,

We have been welding some more....I dont know if you know this but if you pick out the sealer on the inside there is probably rust underneath !!

I think the Japs used salt water based sealer.

Both towing eyes have been removed and welded plates on behind them then re-fitted...

Intercooler pipework completed
 
Hi S12 fans

We also managed to complete the fabrication of the Intercooler pipework, mounted an S13 intercooler on the front valance behind the bumper and led the pipes to it as such...
