CA18det Auto ECU w/ 5 spd tranny

Are there any problems using a ca18det with auto tranny ecu matched with a ca18et 5 spd tranny? Will it throw any codes or anything? I hear the safety neutral switch might have to be wired in??

Also, what other issues are there? Which fly wheel, clutch, and starter can I use that will work with my 5spd "b" tranny?

Thanks

Look on sxoc in the S13 tech section as many people have converted cars from auto to manual. I suspect though that they prob made their life easier with an manual ECU.

So, does this mean that the auto ECU isn't compatible with a 5 spd tranny?

No I'm saying the info is on sxoc for the definite answer. I'm sure it can be 'massaged' to work, but maybe better to use the manual ECU. I seem to remember that the timing is slightly different according to the fella that produces the chips for the CA engine.

An ecu will be cheap anyway. Plus you could buy a chipped one:)
