s12 propshaft for s13 gearbox
 

hey does anyone know how much the s12 propshaft needs to be shortened so i can run a s13 gearbox??:confused:

Its pretty possible I believe.
Not something I've looked at, as I have 2 spare boxes.

in my car (not an S12...) i shortened the prop 50mm when changing from a Mk2 S12 silvia box to S13 box. tailhousing of s13 box is 50mm longer and gearlever is 65mm further back so you may need to chop the trans tunnel.
i have pics of the s12 and s13 boxes stood next to one another on their bellhousings (ouch!) if you need them.

Was it a late s13 box or early one?

yea knew i was goin to have to make the hole for the shifter longer, i heard a while ago the the propshaft had to be shortened coz the s13 is a slightly longer box, could you send me the pic please, [email protected]

Yeh but according to this the Early one is the same length
