Progress Update...

Replaced the clutch today - at last!!

Fitted the Exedy clutch that was slipping in Den's car. Don't think I'll quite manage the power transfer that he was so it's fine for me! Doesn't slip at all! It's in pretty much new condition :D

She's off to the body shop tomorrow for a partial respray and new bonnet kit (silviagod finest) and front wing vents (silviagod finest again!).

Just been on the net and found some new alloys I like. So if anyone wants the ones on my car at the moment then let me know. They're Team Dynamics Monza 17". Average condition although will probably clean up well. 2 ok ish Avon ZZ3 tyres on the front ones. £ whatever. Or swap for something nice?

Wheel bearing is very bad on passenger side so that needs replacing. Is this a difficult job? What's involved?

Then it's off for the LPG conversion.

Back on the road soon!!!!

:D

front bearing is easy, rear is a pain, trailing arm off and pressed out.

RichardK 22-10-2006 22:18

urgh. yea it is the rear. can you do that kind of job shaun or is it a garage job?

30psi 22-10-2006 22:24

More of a garage affair....

I thought you were gonna run the car on tap water?

PukkaSilvia 22-10-2006 22:39

I think you need to put it through a brita water filter first Martin

Whats this new bonnet Silviagods made you Richard?

actually, thats what i'am doing on my mk2 atm, but i stripped the back end off before the weather turned shite, the garage that fitted the lsd made a feck up of the subframe that i did the camber conversion on,so i've stripped it down and i've had the original one sand blasted then painted it up, i've swapped the trailing arm poly bushes over, just that they fecked the big subby bushes up, so i've got to start again with those, i may be fitted a cusco lsd whilst its out as well.i'd also had new bearings fitted to those arms, so i'am gonna have new ones fitted to these ones as well.there's a thing rich, you could buy a pair off arms off of me, they both have new bearings in, you could put poly bushes in as well.

RichardK 23-10-2006 10:24

There's an idea. How much do you want for them shaun?

Also, how much are polly bushes and where do I get them from? :)

s13eater 23-10-2006 15:08

you get the poly bushes from superflex, they are listed as the 280zx/300zx z31 items, i'd want £25 each arm, thats with new bearings fitted.

RichardK 23-10-2006 20:12

shaun i think i will most likely have those off you. i just need to see how much the poly bushes are so i know if i have enough money lol

which is it on this list?
