Ive used these. They are known as aero nuts and are excellent.

But they can strip the manifold stud threads though

would they be any good on the exhaust manifold to cyclinder head?

You'd never need anything that hardcore on them studs, plus coz they're pretty tight it will rip the studs out the head when you come to undo them
