better oil pump for oil cooler?

My car is an CA18ET.
I don't have the stock water/oil cooler.
I want to fit an oil cooler but is the standart oil pump from 1987 can support that? (161000 kms on board)

they have a water cooled oil cooler in between the oil filter and the block. tis a big stainless lump with 2 water pipes coming out the top. its not the best idea for cooler, i.e how can you cool oil with hot water, but i guess a few degrees is better that nowt.
