New Toy at work!!!!!!

This winter and next season il be running an F1 car:D A 1977 dfv March 761, Original with complete history. Was developed and run in period by Frank Williams.

The whole things needs a strip down rebuild, new crack testing certificates etc, as its not been raced in some time, The only thing we wont be doing ourselves is the engine rebuild.:p, Which is fair enough as the engines worth over 50k alone lol. Quite looking forward to this,. Anyway It arrived today, My boss picked it up from Belguim This morning. Its not the best picture, Il take some better ones tommorrow, but the thing is gorgous. The livery is tasteful compared to some others.

the one in there has 0bhp. Its got a hole in it, Some bits are usable but Were looking at getting a masters spec short stroke from Nicholson Mclaren which is 490hp at 10kRPM.

Nicholson Mac motors are stunning. there hillclimb motors are amazing. That said 30+ grand a season to HIRE one (you dont own it:eek: ) is a tad expensive.
as a bit of trivia, Mike Endean now owns NicMac and used to own Xtrac (before he flogged it for millions) the transmission specialists. He designed Martin Schanches Escort 4wd transmissions in his garden shed whilst still working for Hewland (iirc), they revolutionised rallycross in the 80s/90s. He now owns one of Schanches old mk3 escorts and has fully restored it into the original Sachs livery. Oh yeah and he has a fully carbon chassied/bodied RWD Ford Puma running an ex-Schanche BDT running 650bhp. its mind blowing, faster than all the but the top single seaters.
sorry for thread hijack Pukka:)
