Inlet modifications, for intercoolers... help, i'm a fish!

Am working towards fitting an S13 intercooler onto ol' Sil (bless her...) and was wondering if there were any quick fix or step by step, to working the piping out and fitting the boost controller and boost gauge on my CA18ET... i've caught up with a few Sil owners and it seems everyone does it different. Am I being stupid or is it a headache?
Cos' surely you have to mod it at both the turbo end and the inlet manfold end too, right?
I am a fish... but with help at least my Sil will be a lil' sweeter...
HELP!
Most Fizzle...

What kind of s13 intercooler?standard or aftermarket?

Fish...

It's an SR20DET aftermarket brought froma guy in Malaisia... Munlee. I brought an S13 front clip with the intension of a coversion, but living arrangements are changing fast and I wanna get the intercooler on...
It's an old HKS part but both out thingies are at the top... not a problem, but i'm curious about how to pipe it... do you just 'pop' a hol in the side of the inlet uugimiflip or swap it with a breakers part? and where does an after market boost gauge fit into the cunumdrum? Lots of questions I know... ohh one more... where does the boost valve fit into it as well, like what parts does it go inbetween... i'm determined to do he mod's myself...
please excuse the drunkenness of the text,I believe my laptop has injested a lil' JD...
