Fitment for Bride Recliner

Just wanting to know how to go about fitting a bottom mounted BRIDE recliner I've had for a few months now. I've tried before but realized the original mounts sit to close together resulting in only one side lining up where the bolts should be.

I was thinking about getting a custom made frame made up but there has to be a cheap reasonably safe way to get it to fit. Any one lend us a hand?

get some steel and weld it in job done lol

the s12 is a total cnut to fit aftermarket seats as the std ones are shaped to the transmission tunnel, so you end up sitting 10ft higher with the new ones.

Doesn't help I don't have a welder or know anyone who does.

must be an easier way, I've had them out and being a bride seat it's odd, the mounts are underneath and short not wide and the s12 is mounted just by two parts down either side of the seat. I've seen other mounts that are like a square, plus I fitted them on and tried putting it in the car thinking to small a gap. Fair enough, you can line one side up but your miles from getting the other side to even consider bolting down!! Maybe I should just drill the floor....kidding.

Not sure that would be so much of a problem if you used decent bolts and a small steel plate instead of a washer........ might be an arse to get the tools under the seat to do it up though.

EDIT - Just checked and thats how we did the seat in my MGB racer ;)

Only thing is if the seat end's up being raised I'll be squashed as my head already just brushes the roof in a normal driving position. Doesn't help when your tall.

best bet would be getting some side mounted seats as you can change the height they sit at

I ain't got no sun-roof.

In the middle of getting my mate to fix me up a custom adapter, I supply the brain-power and scribblings on pieces of paper whilst he gets to do all the fun stuff. ( I can't help it I don't own a garage ) :D Anyway It's a trial an error approach, but If I get it to work I'll post a picture of it up here first.
