TPS trouble
Hi, guys.
I have the faulty code and i've done as the fsm recommand: http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/6359/tpswy3.jpg http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/6...47c7c823af.jpg One thing interested me, it's about the plugs and the tps itself: http://img384.imageshack.us/img384/7...1217531iu7.jpg http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/9...1217532np4.jpg http://img504.imageshack.us/img504/9...9ba3b7b97d.jpg Why is there a third connection? I've still have the code, ECCS must be replaced? Cheers. |
when doing the test you have to press the accelerator pedal and release it otherwise this fault code comes up. The third connection is used on different models where there is a switch when the acellerator is fully depressed.
|
During the check ECU? Must i maintained the pedal at full throttle?
;) |
Third terminal is only present on auto models for the kick down isn't it?
|
No, just press the pedal once then release it. On the auto the kickdown switch is under the accelerator pedal. The TPS on the auto has an extra plug underneath it.
I have seen the same TPS on the Nissan Sunny and that has all three contacts wired up. |
the pin that isnt used is for full open throttle, and the plug used for the auto is a variable output tps as used for all good engine management systems but all this is irrelevant
|
SR20 auto's have the 3rd pin for kick down, thats all my question was based on...
|
It works!
Just press the accelerator completly, hold it like 5/7 seconds during the check procedure! Really smoother now  . Thanks guys ;) |
