air fuel mixture control??? what do you use, apexi etc etc

i'm interested to know what piggyback ecu to use for my silvia, & to know what is available to use on a budget, i know from the thread on here about modding the standard 1.8 that some use the apexi safc

what others are used, what abot megasquirt??? also whichever i decide upon is there anyone in the midlands that would be will to give me a hand to intal one as i'm only used to working on olde vehicles, carbs & dizzys

i'd like to have that bit of control over the air & fuel??? any help really appreciated

I have been looking in to Afc neo the last couple of days for my build:

CA18DET bottom end
CA18ET head
S14 t28 turbo
444cc GTR injectors
Z32 MAF

(currently building it) But today i found the AEM F/IC piggyback: http://www.aemelectronics.com/engine...oller-f-ic-12/

But i cant find any info if someone have used this in the 180zx ca18et cars, i think it's a good price on it to be able to adjust both fuel and ignition.

Nistune

I've installed a Nistune ECU daughterboard (Type 1 board for Silvy) which allows modification to MAF and Injector flow rates etc. DIY version about ?300 (with single license) or about ?600 installed and rolling road set up. Maybe something to consider?

Do you run that on a ca18et?

your better off getting rid of the afm and using something like an omex, i used the omex 500 on my old 8 valve ca, i bet you could pick a cheap set up off of one of the car sites.

I was using the apexi safc2 before I went with Nistune.
my mods
ca18det
wiseco pistons 1mm overbore
tomei poncams 254
t3t4 turbo 5psi
sard adj fpr
walbro 255
35mm external wastegate
arp hardware

if have ca18det Nistune is a nice way to go

If you have ca18et I would just go with megasquirt
