what can fry if u make a short circuit?

Okey so I know its stupid to not fully disconnect the battery when i wanna swap the alternator, but it kinda made contact for a second.
Had the same problem with a s13 but they have a 75A main fuse.
The S12 doesnt seem to have one.

Had some strange problems since,
first the starter didnt seem to have power, this fixed itself. Now it doest fire up anymore, the starter got power now and theres a spark from the coil (so its probably not the distributor witch i had to replace a couple of weeks ago cause it wasnt giving a signal to the ignition)
Sometimes it seems to fire up the first spark but then dies imediatly.

Can I have fried something since the S12 doesnt have a main fuse?

Fusible links are likely to blow

The only one I think I can find is the one connected directly to the +side of the battery.
I'l order a new one to make sure but I checked it and it seemd fine, had normal current running trough.
I just hope I didnt blow the ecu.

If there's spark then the ecu is working

Good to hear that.
I'l just check everything and install new fusable links

okey got it running again, I think the problem why it didn't start, i think the timing ignition timing has shifted, so it had nothing to do with the short.

But had the same problem with the starter motor.
Sometimes it gets power and sometimes it doesnt.

I suspect this might be the fusable link.

It seems it didnt burn al the way trough thoug.

Is this the link directly from the +battery side?

Or is it possible that I damaged the starter relais?
