Strange thing happened this morning....

see if there are any logical answers for this.

things that happened leading up to this mornings event.

massive thunderstorm saturday, very windy, car alarm got set off by a large clap of thunder (even though the alarm dont have shock sensing activated) it rings for 30secs and then resets, i didnt bother to reset it.

this morning,

i go out to car to go to work, bip the alarm, it makes a faint mip (normally this is a loud chirp) so i think, hmm thats stange, open the door, no interior lights, nor the little flashy lights previous owner put in as antitheft deterrent and passenger seat is quite damp from slightly leaking sunroof when it rain heavy, so i think, oh great, flat battery, i put the key in the ignition, all lights come on, and fuel pump does its normal pre prime, so again, stange as interior lights still not on, clock lost its memory, stereo lost its stations, i turn the key to start, it turns over quick, and starts as normal, and then all the interior lights come on, and have been fine all day as normal with or without the engine running.

why would this happen, i havnt touched anything like fuses etc.

sorry its a bit drawn out, just best way to explain it as it the perm live part, and dont have any relays etc because it perm live, this circuit was dead until i started the car, and now its perm live again as normal.

Cheers.

Crappy battery terminals?

Sometimes when you crank the car it arcs with poor contact and creates a better contact again lol.

i had dash lights and fuel pump, without interior lights.

i have gold plated batt terminals and they are tight (although i havnt checked lately, but i over tighten everything) but i will have a look, to double check.

Cheers.
