New Contact Racecar Builder for Applications/Bracing Etc
I have just got the number of a local RaceCar builder who has been finding this year really difficult and gone to work for VOSA as an inspector to ease his cashflow.
This guy is a ford nut and has built many a high powered Cosworth in his time. He is some kind of regional RS director or whatever they call them and at present has a very nice 400BHP Cossy and a MK2 Escort which he has grafted onto a 4x4 Sierra Chassis. My mate (Also a VOSA inspector) has seen his work and says its very, very impressive. Has anyone any requests for any Bracing or one off custom stuff. Or have we any generic questions regarding making certain parts for our beloved cars. I am going to ring him regarding making a custom rear Strut Brace and fitting my bucket seats to the original runners. Any suggestions will be put forward:D |
Possible front strut tower bar. But you have stuff that's good for starters! I am definitely keen on the adapter plates for bucket seats! I have made my own and it is not fun.

Thanks Pukka. It is actually a site owned by an Aussie and I sort jumped along with him in trying to get the site bigger with more stuff.

Will pop your request forward and report back:)

Draconis, are you referring to a front strut brace like this?

Yes, I like that one! Esp. the black one. Why didnt I see that last year... or like a year and a half ago.
|
I have one on mine, I will ask him for a price to replicate it

Just heard this guy has a feature car in Classic Ford this month, its the MK2 Escort grafted onto the 4X4. can't wait to see it in the flesh when I pop down:D.

Took the car down today to get the seats put on the stock runners and have the rear struts braced.
He is going to take a pattern from my front strut brace and anyone who wants them can then order one. The rear strut brace is being welded in and is being triangulated for further strength. Not sure if he is going to pattern this as a bolt in part also (I will ask) On the seat runners he stated that there are so many variations on seats and mounting points that he would need the car and seats to sort anyone else's, but said it wasn't a problem to do.:) |
