hi can anybody help' i'm having trouble with the rear screen washer not working. The pump is pumping and the jet seems to be clear but the water is not been pumped up to the jet, Its a 1986 S12.

Disconnect the pipe from the pump and see if it comes out of the pump when its running.

If so squirt an air line down the tube. And that'll probably solve it.

If not try a pin down the end's of the jets.

Thanks scoupe' but ive tried that and the pump is squirting water but once connected to the pipe' it wont pump up to the jets.

How "well" is the pump squirting water?

Could be a weak pump...if not could still be blocked...sometimes they are a knob to clear!

its pumping with the same pressure as the front windscreen pump?
one of the reasons i want to get it fixed' is that i need to get an MOT although i don't think the rear washer is part of the MOT' i didnt want to go and be told that it was. The windscreen washers have a one way valve but i cant see if the rear has got one to>
