fj swap

At last..... managed to get a complete fj well almost.
My offer has been accepted but i just need to collect and pay.
The fj is from a dr30.

1) is it a straight forward swap as i heard nissan had to modify engine to fit into s12?

2) will it fit onto original mounts? My current engine is an ca18et

3)what problems i am likely to come across?

4) has anybody done this conversion.

I hope to start rebulding the engine around february so hopefull will have some picture up soon!

Thanks in advance

Hi
I am in amersham in bucks. I am hoping to use the box that is coming with the engine as its a complete engine. I have an ecu but wont be needing it as i am going to put twin 45's. The manifold will be made by bogg bros.
Thanks
Tss240zg

The fj will be going into my dads s12. A grey mk2 that some may have seen at retro rides this year.

Hmm will have to think as bogg bros are asking for £240 for the manifold. Or 285 for weber refurb included.
I am new to this what would you reccomend?
Where abouts are you?

tss240zg 23-12-2012 13:46

Then ive also gotta take the cost of tbe webers into account.
Do you know anyone with twin 45 for sale for a reasonable price?

s13eater 23-12-2012 13:54

the kameari do seem expensive,i'am not up on carbs mate, i'll ask around about carbs for you though, i'am in chesterfield.
