is that right what i read, that those rear shox are shorter than the S12, thus meaning my lowered springs wouldnt be loose when i jack it up???? where would i get a set of these rear shox, and what car would i ask for them to fit??? and would the standard ones be uprated compared to the S12, or would i be better off getting uprated Ae86s?? im not a member on that webby so cant post, and i really dont want another login and forum to remember to check. :(

iv seen escort mexico rally shocks (forest stage) used on a s12 there about 2" shorter than the standard ones. you have to make up 2 bushes for the bottom tho as there not wide enough, 30min job :D

wont they be underrated for the s12, being it so much heavier??? if the Ae86s fit straight on, they would be better option??? and still available.

no they are perfect! wayne from chipwizards uses them on his FJ racing car. he has also used 911 rear shocks. i drove a s12 that he set up it handled better that anyother iv drove. The one i had a go of was lowerd 30mm / rear camber plates / escort back shocks / refilled front shocks with extra plates / rear tow in 30mins / front tow in 20mins

are they mk1 or mk2 escort, is it just the mexico ones, as the spax cat lists 4 or 5 diferent numbers for various models???? my rear shox are getting weak, so a nice cheap alternative and something i can get hold of will be great.

wacomuk 18-04-2006 09:46

id say MK2 because they use them more for rallying (not sure if its just mexico shocks but the ones he used came from a mexico)

they do a few different ones IE tarmac / forest stages etc he said the forest stage ones are suited best

if you dont get sorted i have some standard shocks that are good for the price of postage
