hey everyone, seeing a mk 2 today which i may possibly buy, needs a bit of work as it has been standing a while, but just want to know the major places or faults to look out for when buying one?

Rust Rust and Rust. Check the rear sub-frame mounts, floor pans, sills and front wings especially as they are now longer available from Nissan. As for the engine, blue smoke on start-up, oil/water mixing problems in the fill cap. Seized rear calipers are common and are about £90 ea exchange so a good bargaining tool.
