Mk1 rear lights on MK2
 

Hi All, so i have the lights, light bar and the number plate surround to do the conversion as my Mk2 lights are all cracked and hazed.
My question is what have people that have done this before used as reverse and fog lights?

Swap the blue relay for a black one so the inner two brake lights can operate as fogs and rewire the lamp holder unit so the two brake lights have separate feeds.
You can cut out the bumper for reverse lights or just mount a spotlight under it. Reverse lights are not a requirement for MOT.

Do these modifications shorten the life of the lights themselves?
