Mk1 on to Mk 2
 

HI,

Do the wings and bonnet from a MK1 fit a MK2 ?

What parts on a mk1 dont fit a mk2 if any?

Does anyone know ?

the wing(if my memory is right, that's what you guys call the fender right?) is interchangeable.

The only difference is the moulding. See that inset groove all along the side of the car on above the black moulding? Well, on the MK.I, there's black moulding in there, and the moulding under it isn't.

It'll fit, but the mouldings will look different. I'm pretty sure you can take it off your old car and stick it on the new fender. As far as I know, it's only held on with glue.


The hood will swap on without issue as well. The only "problem" is the MK.II hood comes to a slight point at the front. It's not noticable unless you actually go and look at it though. I've done a MK.I conversion on my MK.II and I'm using an Mk.II hood and the slight overhang from the point isn't big.

There are differences but Everything fits.
