ca18det throttle body size?

hey, does anybody know the diameter of the ca18det throttle body?

I need to start prepping for intercooler piping for my swap, but dont' know the size of the throttle body. If somebody could help me out with that information, that'd be awesome.

Thanks in advance.

the internal diameter is about 55mm and the external diameter of the bit you connect your pipe work to is about 65mm - 70mm ill have a measure and get back.

55mm? that's it..that sucks lol

If you could get me the external measurement, that would be greatly appreciated. I actually need that more than the internal measurement.

when you put it next to the std one its massive!!

the standard one is like 42mm right? heh

Thanks for getting me those specs. That's quite a big difference from inner to outer diameter. The walls must be very thick.

on topic but different question, will it make any difference having the DET throttle body on an ET, im putting on the T25 soon, and thought this could be helpful if its worth doing??????

Cheers.

iv done it didnt really notice much difference, probably give 5bhp and helps with top end breathing worth doing in my opinion

The ka24e throttle body is a better route...but then again I'm in north america, so they're pretty plentiful here.

Those are about 60mm.
