Well, one difference I noticed when I had mine was that people tend to run away from the roadside when they hear me coming on full boost! :D

They're f*cking LOUD, but I confess to not knowing any other benefits, but it wouldn't stop me me getting another if I could! :)

Mine sounds fantastic on boost. I love it.

can somebody please do a how to guide to show me how its done. and where can i get an external wastegate from...

you need to remove your current actuator from the turbo and remove the turbo. The standard internal gate/flap for the wastegate needs to be welded shut completely (Unless your buying a new turbo which is external wastegate only)

You need to make yourself a new manifold aswell and have an external wastegate fitting on it.

I dont think welding a remote wastegate locater pipe onto the std manifold would work verywell as the stock manifold is made out of cast dog poo and the weld would probably separate and crack away from it after a few heat/vibration cycles

Its a big job. Do you still want to go ahead with it?

welding a flange onto the cast manifold would be fine imo, as when you do the t3 conversion, there has to be a steel flange welded on for that and i have never had any problems, i think the gains are to get rid of the gases quiker, this helps spooling up.
