hi guys, as title says, are the ET bearings the same part as the DET ones, I havnt sourced a mk2 engine, so im gonna re do mine.

im sure they are the same, but a little rusty on details so looking...

the old type actually has the cooler between the filter and the block, basically that bit ontop on that pic, is similar to the part that is sandwiched between on the old ones, with just 2 pipes on...

mine had a small leak around the turbo once, it turned out to be a fracture in the oil inlet pipe where the nut tightens in the top right where the pipe flares. I hope i explained that well enough.

as far as im aware, they all have a water cooled oil cooler, there are 2 types i think, the one on mine is sandwiched between the block and the oil filter, its silver in colour, looks like stainless...

I think they are completely different, someone fitted the det inlet plenum onto and et, but im sure it involved alot of ally welding of parts from both to work. so no, not a direct fit. lol :D

its called a power transistor. it amplifies the signal from the ecu. dont know if you still need it or not with the after market coil, just got that info from the manual

the pipes sound the correct way round, inlet to rail, but the et is common to have fuel pressure reg problems, ive had 2 go so far, stock fuel pressure should be about 36 psi at idle. my first one...

if you can remove the water pipes that feed the turbo, that also makes it easier, as they cross/run infront of the stud and nut in question.

yeah i know, I built the engine about 10 years ago, easy job, but really cba, reason i wanna change it is because its had oil pressure probs for a while, although hasnt phisically show any signs...

oh well, got the fueling to a reasonable state, and now has big end knocking.......................... the joys of owning an s12, lol

need another engine, pref mk2 one with the revised oil feed,...
