steering rack

my PAS steering rack is fecked and has started pissing fluid out, so is in need of changing......has anyone got any tips for removal/refitting:)

why would you want to get rid of the rev limiter:confused: it only kicks in at about 6800rpm or so and you wont be making any more power reving it that high on a 8valve unless you have a mssive...

just take the tie rod off the rack and put a s13...

just take the tie rod off the rack and put a s13 spacer from driftworks or somewhere (5mm or so) and bolt it back up, you need to adjust the tie rod - rod end by the 5mm to straighten the wheels back...

got any pics of it? the only inlet manifold i can think of that it would be is the ca20e one, a v6 one would be totally different, maybe its just the throttle bodie he changed?

my starter was like that for months, finaly got around to changing it the other day :) apparantly if you take it off and carefully undo the bolts on the smaller cylinder bit you can clean it...

the avo springs i think are between £80 and £100 depending where u get them. i think there 30-40mm drop:)
as for the shocks i'd guess a set of four is around £250?

so you can retain the s12 lower arm, ball joint and tension rod, and just pop the s13 hub onto it? i guess this might also give a bit extra steering lock, as i think the steering arm on the s13 hub...
