why would you want to get rid of the rev limiter
it only kicks in at about 6800rpm or so and you wont be making any more power reving it that high on a 8valve unless you have a mssive turbo........i have mine set between 6 & 6.2k
but to get rid of it all you need to do is fit a mk1 ecu
