the standard AFm isn't that restrictive. I hit 300bhp on my s13 with one
the z32 AFM wouldn't be do-able, its the flap type and not hot wire, works completely differently.
there are ways to make bigger AFMs work well, an SAFC allows you to change the AFM, one from an s14 is an improvement, or one from a rb20/25 skyline or a Z32. if you have a mk2 ecu you can chip the ecu to allow for these AFM changes too. I'll be working on seeing what the best upgrade route is when i get the chance and a car to do it with.
